🧠 All student-athletes must undergo baseline concussion testing prior to participation in athletics. The purpose of baseline concussion testing is to give the athletic trainers a baseline of where the athlete currently stands when healthy. If an accident occurs and there is a possibility of a concussion, we can run this test again and compare the baseline with the post injury test. This testing is non-invasive and simply requires the use of a cell phone. It takes approximately 10 minutes to complete. Directions on how to complete the baseline testing are below.

Directions for completing the baseline concussion testing:
- Download the app called Sway Medical
- Scroll down to the bottom and click where it says "enter code."
- Enter code
- Enter your information
- You do NOT need to create an account or go through COVID protocols.
- When you get to the symptom questionnaire, you can click "next" in the top right and then "skip symptoms"
- Finish the whole assessment
Who needs to take the assessment
- Every student-athlete who is new to the school
- Every student-athlete in 6th grade
- any student-athlete in 7th grade who did not complete the baseline test in 6th grade
- Every student athlete in 8th grade
- Every student-athlete in 9th grade
- Every student athlete in 10th grade who did not complete the baseline in 9th grade
- Every student athlete in 11th grade
- Every student athlete in 12th grade who did not complete the baseline in 11th grade
